MISSION & VISION
The Negotiation Academic Society (NAS) is a multidisciplinary research group associated with multiple universities across the Netherlands. They aim to impact public and private organisations through excellent research, conferences and educational programmes. NAS connects and inspires researchers in the Netherlands to innovate their research and deepen their knowledge on all phenomena related to negotiations. On this page, you will find information about why there is a need for a NAS, our ambitions, and how we would like to get you involved.
HISTORY
Since the NAS was founded in 2021, at the University of Twente, they have aimed to connect and inspire students, researchers, and practitioners on innovative negotiation research. Are you a researcher? Do you have previously performed research on the topic of negotiations (or any adjacent topics), or you are currently doing so, you may be interested in joining our community. THE NEED
The ambition of the NAS is to grow to a national network in which everyone knows how to find each other and share knowledge on negotiations. Until NAS there was no negotiation network in the Netherlands that connected students, researchers, and practitioners. With a joint community in the field of negotiation, we want to be more visible worldwide, influential, and impact society. In the NAS, we jointly increase our network and learn from each other's disciplines to solve challenging negotiation research questions, which, leads to more funding possibilities and can increase impact with the created knowledge.
GET INVOLVED: RESEARCH WORKSHOP
We are organizing a workshop every quartile. These workshops aim to get to know each other and forge collaborations with which we can jointly make a difference. We are particularly looking for unexpected combinations of disciplines and expertise.
- The next meeting is planned for the 28th of November 2023, 13.30-14.30h.
- Location: at the UT, specific room t.b.a. (hybrid possibility).
